Video on Repeatability in Science
Assuming that physical laws are the same every place then an experiment that is conducted by one scientist should work for any other scientist if he repeats the experment correctly. Now this does provide a way to double checking results but it works best in a lab were variables can be controlled. Unfortunately it doesn't work well for every situation.
