Mars Science Laboratory on Mars Update V

http://tinyurl.com/GSM-Mars-5

The Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity has taken some high resolution images of Mount Sharp and the dark areas between them. This information provided is quite interesting providing new support the Catastrophic theory of Martian Geology. The dark area to the south of Curiosity  resembles soil in the Meridiani Planum region supporting the other evidence that this area too was once flooded. It also shows that the clearly areas are clearly at a lower elevation than where Curiosity actually landed.

The rock layers on Mount Sharp here look like what would be expected from rapid deposition of the layers including little if any evidence of erosion between layers. What is also evident is that the erosion that carved this out seems o have been done by water flowing over this part of Mount Sharp including downward gullies resulting from flowing water. In fact even JPL has commented on how similar these features are to those found in the Grand Canyon here on Earth which was carved by water. This actually supports evidence from the last article that this what happened.

Neil Armstrong Dies as 82

I know this may be considered off topic but Astronaut Neil Armstrong and first man to walk on the Moon died today as age 82. He became the first man to walk on Moon on July 20th 1969 A.D. on flight of Apollo 11. A little known fact is that he and Buzz Audrain Buzz Aldrin partook of the Lord's Supper (Communion) shortly after landing making it the first mail partaken of on another planet.

Mars Science Laboratory on Mars update IV

http://tinyurl.com/GSM-Mars-4

A closes examination of geological context Gale Crater the landing site of  the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity shows that the impact probably trigger an eruption of underground water that resulted in the dark regions which are probably a result of hematite rich soil. The southern part of the crater shows only a little evidence of water inflow but enough it was probably a result of overspill flowing back into the crater. Un like the Meridiani Planum region there is no real evidence of a real inflow channel. There is semi dark area supporting the idea of an overspill. Other than the three small backflow areas the rest of the southern rim shows the up wart fracturing seen in many other craters. The northern end however shows some evidence of considerable out flow. The two fan like structures come out from under Mount Sharp seem to have been created by the impact which may have been at a slight angle. They seem to have been initially overflowed with water that had erupted in the southern part of the crater because they have both have flow channels on both sides, This supports the Catastrophic theory of Martian Geology and an underground source of the water that once flooded Meridiani Planum region. .

Mars Science Laboratory on Mars Update III

http://tinyurl.com/marsgsm-3

Among the latest high-res images from Curiosity shows the dark areas in Gale Crater. These areas definitely seem to be smoother than the surrounding land which would be consistent with present day seepage of under ground water. It is however also reminiscent of the hematite rich soil found by Opportunity in the Meridiani Planum region and thus indicates a past seepage of under ground water. In any case if this has any thing to do with water it would support the Catastrophic theory of Martian  Geology and an underground source of the water that once flooded Meridiani Planum region. Now this is still parliamentary but it looks promising.

Mars Science Laboratory on Mars update II

Curiosity has sent back some high quality color images of Gale Crater. The first point of interest are areas where the shy-cranes rockets blasted away some the overlaying dust possibly exposing the underlying rock. The grayish color is consistent with granite the same rock that makes up the Earth's continental crust; however it is still too early to say for sure.

This color image shows Gale Crater's central peek which is where Curiosity is heading the dark area is part of the dark material in the crater. One possibility is that this is a result of present day seepage of under ground water however it could just indicate a past seepage of under ground water. In any case if this has any thing to do with water it would support the Catastrophic theory of Martian  Geology and an underground source of the water that once flooded the Meridiani Planum region. In any event the parliamentary data looks promising.

Mars Science Laboratory on Mars Update

http://tinyurl.com/MarsGSM-1

Mars Science Laboratory (Curiosity) has taken some initial pictures at Gale Crater on Mars. Curiosity has sent back some high quality images of its landing site. These preliminary results are consistent with and provides some possible support for my Catastrophic theory of Martian  Geology. This shows this shows consistency on Mars with a Young Earth, in this case it is a Young Mars but it is consistent with a Young Earth.

Amazing image of Mars Science Laboratory

A amazing image of Mars Science Laboratory was taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter while orbiting Mars above the rover. This is one of the most amazing pictures from Mars. While not directly related to Creation Science it is an interesting first step in what is likely to be an interesting journey of disvovery.

Mars Science Laboratory lands on Mars

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/msl/index.html

This morning the Mars Science Laboratory called Curiosity landed at Gale Crater on Mars. I will be keeping an eye on it an will be post any interesting finds both official and personal. We know that JPL will be presenting thing in terms of millions and billions of years however I will be providing a creation science view of the results.
