The Curse on the Serpent

Genesis 3:14

14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Commentary

This suggests that snakes originally had legs and lost them as part of the curse related to Man’s fall.  Indeed a fossil snake with small hind legs had been found. The most likely explanation for this fossil is that at the fall God turned off the genes in a snake for making legs and in some cases before the Genesis Flood a mutation turn it back on enough to produce legs in an unless, or reduced function form.



There is also a documented cased of a snake that grew a leg as shown above. This consistent with this verse where snakes still have the gene to make legs but they are normally turned off as part of this curse.

The Fall of Man

Genesis 3:1-13
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Commentary
There is scientific insight here other that the description of this sadly historical event. It should be noted though that the keys to understanding fall are:

1. The desire to be as gods. In many religions man still seeks this. This true even of atheism as it elevates man to supreme position of authority.
2. The desire to know  Evil. In the garden Adam and Eve only knew good, so they were really seeking to know evil. And as one of the consequences of the fall God is letting us know evil.

Looking at Statistical Entropy

Statistical Entropy is probability theory applied to entropy showing that it is a measurement a system’s disorder in. Based mainly on the probability of the positions of molecules it explains the tendency; seen in the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics; of entropy to increase. This tendency is because configurations with high entropy are more probable than configurations of low entropy.

The biggest problem with entropy is that it has a tendency to increase. This makes understanding how to decrease entropy is highly important. A common answer is adding energy to the system though that is all that is needed to decrease its entropy.  However this answer is overly simplistic since when energy is applied to a system the way it affects the system’s entropy depends on the way the energy is applied to the system. Consider the difference between construction work and a bomb. Construction work will decrease the entropy of a building under construction. One the other hand a bomb with the same amount of energy and on the same site will inevitably increase the site’s entropy.

This shows that the manner by which energy is applied to a system affects how that energy changes that system’s entropy. What is needed is a general principle that describes this difference and statistical entropy shows exactly how and when entropy can be decreased it shows how to produce order from disorder. Understanding this is critical to a proper study of origins.

Kepler Space Telescope discovers two Earth size Planets.

The Kepler Space Telescope has confirmed the discovery of two approximately  earth size planets orbiting a star other than our sun. These are planets; unlike other claims, are not 2-3 time the size of Earth but actually about the size of the Earth or smaller. They are designated Kepler-20e and Kepler-20f they are the smallest planets found out side the solar system so far.

Kepler-20f is slightly bigger than Earth with a diameter of 8,200 miles in diameter, which is only 1.03 x Earth’s 7961 miles. The difference of in diameter 3% suggests that a human could stand on the surface with only a few pounds increase in weight definitely tolerable.

Kepler-20e is slightly smaller than Venus with a diameter of 6,900 miles in diameter, or 0.87 x that of the Earth. For comparison Mars is about O.53 Earth’s diameter and Venus is 0.949.

They are two two of five known planets orbiting a stat designated Kepler-20 that is 1,000 light years away and a little smaller and dimmer than our sun. The other three planets are Neptune size gas giants.

The bad new for Earth like planet hunters is that these planers are uncomfortably closet o the sun. Kepler-20e obits the star every 6 earth days at 0.0537 AU (Earth’s Orbit is 1 AU) and has an estimated surface temperature of 1,412.33 Fahrenheit. Kepler-20f obits the star every 20 earth days at 0.117 AU and has an estimated surface temperature of 809.33 Fahrenheit.

What is even stranger about the Kepler-20 system is the planet order. Not only do all five planets orbit closer to their sun than Mercury dose to our sun but they have an odd order. The Solar system has all terrestrial planes closer to the sun than all four gas giants. The Kepler-20 system on the other hand goes gas giant, terrestrial, gas giant, terrestrial, gas giant. This raises yet another issue for planetary formation theory.

Chicken and Egg Riddle Solved Scientifically

Researchers in Britain have found scientific evidence has been found that scientifically answers famous chicken and egg riddle. What these scientists found is that protein found in eggshells called ovocledidin-17 and is important for it to harden quickly is found in chickens' ovaries.

The logical unbiased conclusion is that the Chicken had to come before the egg, so as to produce the ovocledidin-17 for the first eggshell. However the evolutionary philosophical position of researchers forces them to be unable to accept this unbiased conclusion. This show the affect a scientist’s biases has on their conclusions.

Interestingly enough Biblical creation agrees with logical unbiased conclusion that the Chicken came before the egg.

Bacteria from Earth could Live on Mars

It turns out that bacterial found in an Oregon lava tube had been thriving in Mars-like conditions. Specifically what is meant by mars-like is low oxygen levels, near freezing temperatures, and a lack of organic food. The bacteria were living off of, the oxidation of iron in volcanic mineral olivine. Based on this it was easily concluded that these bacterial could survive on Mars and other planetary bodies.

Now this does increase the chances of finding life on Mars but it also increases the chances that that life would have originated on Earth not Mars. A further reason that any life found on Mars would have most likely originated on Earth is that the areas of Mars known to have had surface water in the past where actually lakes of sulfuric acid not habitable seas. These are three main ways Earth Bacteria could have reached Mars. They could have hitched a ride on Earth rocks ejected into space by impacts; they could have gotten there by riding dust particles and the most likely possibility it that they were carries there by are own probes. Questions have been raised as to how successfully various probes have been sterilized making contamination possible.

Given the Catastrophic nature of Martian Geology Mars would be a interesting place with or without life but before any declaration of life on Mars or any other planetary body in to solar system scientists better get a genetic sample because that life would have a good chance being from Earth.

The Real Meaning of Christmas

Luke 2:6-11
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Discussion

These verses describe the birth of Jesus Christ and it is the celebration of His birth that is the real meaning of Christmas. It is not about presents, trees and food it is about the birth of  Jesus Christ. According to the Bible, Jesus is God in the flesh, so Christmas calibrates God himself coming to live among mankind and in fact becoming a man.

As important as the birth of Jesus Christ is his death on the cross, burial and resurrection 33 years later fulfilled the Saviour portion of verse 11. By his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus satisfied divine justice providing the way for man to come to God and escaped result of our rebellion known as hell.

Nebula Planetary Formation Theory Proven to be Unfalsifiable

The official theory of planetary formation has stars and their planetary system condensing out of a cloud of dust and gas.  Without modifications this theory predicts that other planetary systems should look something like our own. Not precisely like our own but the basic pattern should be the same with rocky planets near the star and gas giants further out. It should also produce nearly circular orbits, as opposed to highly elongated ones and the planets should all orbit in the same direction as the star’s rotation.

The problem is that planetary systems have now been discovered that violate all of these predictions. Not only has a few planets been found with highly elongated orbits but many Jupiter size planets have been found orbiting extremely close to their star. Even worst a quarter of these hot Jupiters have been found that orbit opposite the direction of their star’s rotation.

 The response to these repeated failed predictions has been to repeatedly patched the theory to account for the discrepancy so that the planets start where they are suppose and moved to the observed position. The latest example of this  is the of computer modeling to find a way for an unseen distant planetary body flip Jupiter size planets into reverse orbits.

The end result of all of this modification is that the nebula theory of planetary formation has been rendered unfalsifiable by the repeated patching. Being falsifiable is an important aspect of Science. The point is that instead of the usual scientific practice of abandoning theories that blow prediction after prediction, this one keeps being modified to explain away the prediction failures. It is getting to the point that no mater how contrary to the theory some new model will be created to get a planet from where the theory says it should be to where it is actually observed. The point is that by explaining away failed predictions makes a theory unfalsifiable and effectively unscientific.

Ultimately the reason for this is that the nebula theory of planetary formation the only naturalistic model left with that the only alternative explanation left being divine creation. The point is that the scientific establishment must protect this model at all costs and no discovery will be allowed bring it down.

Gas cloud plunging into Milkyway’s central Black Hole

Images taken by the Very Large Telescope array have shown evidence of a gas cloud on a death plunge in to Sagittarius A* the supermassive black hole at the Milkyway’s center. The cloud was discovered by astronomer Stefan Gillessen and is going in at a whopping 2,500 kilometers per second and is expected to be gobbled up by the supermassive black hole some time in 2013.

It is expected to cause the supermassive black hole to produce one or more huge flare of radiation. Fortunately it is not a threat to the Earth but unfortunately it will not be visible to the naked eye. It will prove astronomers clues as to the reason that Milkyway’s central Black Hole is as different from quasars as it is. Quasars are thought to be extremely active while the Milkyway’s central Black Hole is not active at all.

Ironically since Sagittarius A* is about 25,000 light years away, the event has actually already happened and it has simply taking thousands of years for the light to reach us.

According Cosmological Relativity, when applied to a bounded universe with a rapid expansion of space, time dilation would occur placing this event at 5 to 6 thousand years ago. Dr. Russel Humphreys’ White Hole Cosmology would produce similar levels of time dilation would occur. In both cases this even may have occurred on day four of creation or during the Genesis Flood.

Introduction to Statistical Thermodynamics



Statistical Thermodynamics is field of physics that applies probability theory to studying thermodynamics. Statistical Thermodynamics is also known as Statistical Mechanics. Statistical Thermodynamics provides a way to relate the microscopic world of atoms and molecules to the world we see around us, providing a molecular level interpretation of thermodynamic quantities.

Statistically entropy is based on the probability of molecular positions and 2nd Law of Thermodynamics’ tendency of entropy to increase results from high entropy configurations being more probable than low entropy ones.

Statistical Thermodynamics shows us why the laws of Thermodynamics work the way they do and connects the microscopic and macroscopic worlds in a way nothing else can do. It shows why entropy tends to increase and how and when it can be decreased. The fact entropy is related to the number of possible configurations that a system may have is why it can be considered a measurement of the degree of disorder in a system since disrobed systems have more possible configurations than ordered systems.

Still no Higgs Boson

 Scientists at CERN’s large Hadron Collider have yet find the Higgs Boson after yet another try this week. They did however narrow the mass range where it may be found to between 115 billion electron volts and 127 billion electron volts. One team got a hint pointing to 125 billion electron volts and the other team got a hint pointing to 126 billion electron volts. They expect to get a final answer some time in 2012.

Among the possible answers is that the Higgs boson is not there to find. If the Higgs boson is shown not exist it will force a rethink of some aspects of particle physics theory. The Higgs boson is supposed to be what gives all other particle their mass but if the Higgs Boson is shown not to exist it will require a new theory. This is not an uncommon part of science in fact it is critical to the process. It’s just nicer as a scientist when you get it right.

“Walking” Lung Fish – Evolution or Creation

By studying the African lungfish called Protopterus annectens, evolutionary biologist Neil Shubin drew conclusions about the origin of walking. These lungfish can breath air and move across land using its fins. By placing these fish in a tank designed to allow them the filming of lungfish locomotion they found that the fish pushes it self across the bottom of the tank with its rear fins. Sometime they did so in a hoping and other times in a walking type motion.

What really surprised them what that the fish’s find lacked the structure expected for this type of locomotion. Their fins have the same basic structure as found in swimming   lobe-finned fish like the coelacanth. The fact that their gate is more similar to bipedal motion than four lagged motion is also interesting

The evolutionary bias in this study is abundantly clear. They are starting with the assumption that land animals evolved from fish and draw their conclusion based on this presupposition. . Shubin himself stated, "If you showed me the skeleton of this creature and asked me to make a bet on whether it walks or not, I would have bet it couldn't," Their fins seem like the furthest thing from walking appendages possible." So the results surprised them because it was not what they expected but never fear Evolution theory is flexible that any result can be turned into support for the evolutionary model.

From a creation perspective these fish show evidence of being designed to do what they do. They have the strength to move despite the fact that their fin structure suggests they should not.

Historical and Operational Science

The key to understanding the difference between Historical Science and Operational Science is observation. Since we live in the present, we can only observe the present. Because we do not live in the past it is impossible to observe the past. As a result the past can only be studied by observing in the present. This means that to study the past requires making some assumptions about the past. Since by definition the study of origins is by definition an Historical Science, it highly influenced by philosophical assumptions. And if those philosophical assumptions are wrong then so are the conclusions.

Operational Science on the other hand while not totally free of philosophical assumptions because it occurs in the present those philosophical assumptions have less of an influence. It is operation science that has produced the technological wanders we have today.

What is the Scientific Establishment?



The scientific establishment made up of mainstream scientific institutions and those that run them.The individuals that run these institutions control many aspects of main stream science. This control gives them the ability to limit research and distribution of material they don’t like. The scientific establishment includes those who control publishing, employment, research grants, research facilities and education.

This is not some deep dark conspiratorial but just people protecting their power and world view but the result is the same. This actually happens to some degree in all fields of human endeavor such as science, religion, politics, business, and education. Those on the inside try to keep out those on the out side that disagree with those on the inside. It is a natural result of human nature.

Introducing Paleontology

Paleontology is the Science that is the study of prehistoric life from their fossilized remains. It also includes the history of the earth, organisms found in it, and their supposed evolution.

Fossils are the remains of living thing buried and found in rocks. Some are just imprints of the organism left in rocks, these are most often the fossils of invertebrates and plants. Others are the actual mineralized remains of the organism most often these fossils are of vertebrates. Interpreting fossils is a combination of biology and geology because they show the type of organism that left the fossil and how it relates to other organisms. The problem is that this makes the interpretation of fossils highly dependent on theories of both biology and geology. As a result any theoretical errors in biology and geology will result in errors fossil interpretation.

By studying fossils Paleontology has produced many interesting results however like all historical science the accuracy of those results are highly dependent upon the theories used to produce them. Paleontology is highly dependent on two other fields of science and the accuracy of their theories that is the sciences of Geology and Biology.

Paleontology requires making assumptions about the past which are based in philosophy and rather than science. It needs to be realized that examining the same fossils and rock with a different set of philosophical assumptions will produce different interpretations.

Some dinosaur species may be the same species

Dinosaurs are captivating animals particularly among children but now it turns out that as many as 1/3 of dinosaur species may not have existed as separate species but were actually juveniles and adults of the same species.

Paleontologists at UC Berkeley discovered that three species of dome-headed dinosaur, (Dracorex, Stygimoloch, and Pachycephalosaurus wyomingensis) are actually the same species at different ages and maturity.

This has profound implication for the study of dinosaurs because it has the potential of changing the entire dinosaur fossil landscape. It also raises the question of what else have they missed. The fact is that this discovery could have implications that go way beyond dinosaurs after all the same mistake could have been made with other types of fossils. As a result this discovery could send waves through out the fossil record.

This shows that have misinterpreted some types fossils mistaking youngsters for adults of different spices suggesting that other misinterpretations particularly among so-called transitional forms could have been made particularly between fish and amphibians where the so-called transition is similar to the life cycle.

In any case this is  a good example of how easily fossils can be misinterpreted,

Two enormous black holes Discovered.

Calling them suppermassive black holes would probably be considered insults because these monsters are truly massive. They dwarf the previous record of 6.3 billion times the mass of the sun. Both of these black holes are larger in dynamiter than the entire solar system and could easily swallow us whole. They were found at the centers of other galaxies by the Hubble Space Telescope.

The smaller on is located in the center of galaxy NGC 3842 in the consolation Leo at a distance of about 331 million light-years. It mass is that 9.7 billion Suns but compared to other one it is actually small.

The larger one and king of the suppermassive black holes is at the center of galaxy NGC 4889 in the Coma constellation and at a distance of 336 million light-years. This monster of a black hole has the mass of a whopping 21 billion Suns.

Discoveries like these are show that the universe sill has many mysteries hiding in the depths of space. It needs to be noted that suppermassive black holes like this are so large that planets and even stars could fall through the event horizon intact. It is amazing how powerful God’s creation is.

These black holes have the masses of small galaxies. They could not have formed from supernovae since it would require a star a mass of over 100 billion suns many orders of magnitudes larger than any possible star.  The only other naturalistic recourse is to assume they resulted from the collisions of smaller black holes, but it would take hundreds of millions of such collisions to form even one small suppermasive black hole when not even one black hole collision has ever been observed.

One creation model has God using these suppermasive black holes as the staring poits for building galaxies.

Marriage

Genesis 2:24-25

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Commentary

This is the Bible's first reference to marriage. Note that God ordained marriage between a man and a woman so the Biblical definition of marriage is a union between a man and a woman, referring to them as “one flesh.”

Eve

Genesis 2:21-23

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Commentary

This is the creation of the first woman; Eve. What is interesting about God using a rib is if that if it is removed while leaving the periosteum; a membrane around the rib, it will grow back.

This strongly supports the historical nature of this account since it is unlikely that a 1^st or 2^nd millennium B.C. writer would know this fact or make the right choice by chance.

Adam Names the Animals

Genesis 2:19-20

19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Commentary

Here God created some additional animals in front of Adam so he could see God do it. God then has Adam name each kind of animal. This naturally raises the question of  “Could Adam have named all these animals in one day?”

Before this question can be answered it is necessary to know the number of different kinds of animals Adam had to count.  First of all Adam did not have to name millions of species of animals, since “kind” in these verses does not equate to specie, but ether genus or family. Second these were land animals so Adam did not have to name fish and other aquatic animals.

It has been estimated that  Adam would probably have only needed to name some 2,500 kinds of animals. However to allow for some unknown kinds lets make it 3,000 kinds of animals. At one every five seconds Adam could have finished the task in 4 hours and 10 minutes.

It is not good that the man should be alone

Genesis 2:18

18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him

Commentary

At this point Eve had not yet been created.

Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil

Genesis 2:17

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Commentary
The one exception was not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. There was probably nothing special about the fruit of this that would bring death other than that eating from it would be disobeying God. God was not being cruel but rather was giving man a test, and he was even making it as simple as possible. It was one tree among many and the command was extremely simple. The reason for the test was God did not create robots but wanted man to obey Him of his own free will.

The implications of this verse when seen in the light of chapter 3 are that man would start to die the day he eats of that tree. God had made Adam so well that the process of dieing took more than 900 years.

Note it was called “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” and “the tree of the knowledge” as some have claimed it’s an important difference.

Food in the Garden of Eden

Genesis 2:15-16

15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Commentary

Man is place in the garden to tend it. This indicates that work proceeds man's fall. He is told the he may freely eat of threes of the garden as payment. This is also further support earlier indications of man originally vegetarian.

Alleged Habitable Earth-Like Planet Found

A new claim of an Earth like planet has come from the Kepler telescope.

Called Kepler-22b for evolutionists is almost a dream come true. It is said to have an average temperature of 72 degrees, and a year of about 290 days furthermore its sun is as from as our sun is from Earth. It seems to be capable of having liquid water on its surface. The problem is that its mass is about 2.4 times that of the Earth meaning that it is probably too large to support life. There seems to be a good chance that it is more like a warm Neptune than Earth.

Pre Flood Rivers

Genesis 2:10-14

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

Commentary

This is the only description of pre-Flood geology given in the Bible.

What we have here is a river come four rivers parting from a single river that went through Eden. The first two of these rivers are called the Pison and Gihon. Despite the decryptions of their locations they do not match any post Flood rivers. The third is called the Hiddekel, which is another name for the Tigris. The forth is called Euphrates, but no location is given.

The decryption of these four pre Flood rivers having parted from a single river does both match the present world. This consistent with the considerable geologic change thought to have occurred during the Genesis Flood.

As a result these pre Flood rivers can not be the same as any post Flood rives.  It is common in history that when people move into a new area, that they name the new locations after old. So Noah's descendants probably named the post Flood Tigris and Euphrates for pre Flood Tigris and Euphrates.

This view is consistent with the tablet theory since Adam would have written this account early in the pre Flood period.

An interesting additional fact is that under the modern Euphrates exists a depression in the rock down to the pre-Cambrian which is considered by creationists to be pre-Flood. While not definitive it could be the river valley of pre-Flood Euphrates Flowed?

The Garden of Eden

Genesis 2:8-9

8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Commentary

What seems to have happened here is that God rapidly grew a garden while Adam watched. The reason why it had to be rapid is the fact that Genesis 1:26 indicates that both Adam and Eve were created on day six and since Eve had not been created yet, these events too place on day six of the creation week. This is not to be confused with God creating plants on day three, but rather God created some extra pants so Adam could see it happen.

Two specific trees are mentioned here the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil both of which are involved in later events. Note it is called “the tree of knowledge of good and evil” and not “the tree of knowledge” as some have claimed it to be.

Creation of Adam

Genesis 2:7

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Commentary

This describes the creation of man. God formed a body out of the elements of the ground, clearly runs contrary to the claim that we evolved from ape like creatures. This shows that General Evolution theory and the Biblical account are incompatible. Despite the unquestioning way Evolution is often presented it is highly questionable and evidence given for human Evolution is not as solid as it is presented to be. Evolutionists interpret the fossil through the lens of General Evolution theory and there for they see Evolution in what they find, but when Creationists look at the same raw data through the lens of Creation theory they often see a different picture.

Pre Flood Water Cycle

Genesis 2:5-6

5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

Commentary

This indicates that there had been no rain at this time and man had not yet been created. It also suggests a different form of water cycle before the Flood. The description sounds much like a dew type phenomenon; possibly resulting from a denser atmosphere; where evaporation occurred during the day and condensing to a mist a night that fell to ground.

The Tablet Theory

Genesis 2:4

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

Commentary

This is the beginning of a pattern in genesis of use of the phrase “These are the generations of. This divides the Book of Genesis into sections forming the bases of what is known as the Tablet Theory.  According to this theory Moses compiled Genesis from accounts of event passed down from earlier generations, stating with Adam.

The account found in Genesis two is not, as some claim; a distinct creation account but a complementary account. Genesis 1 is a general account of creation focusing on the big picture of the entire creation and may have been given to Adam by God himself. The Genesis 2 account focuses on the creation of man and according to the tablet theory would have been written by Adam

Day Seven

Genesis 2:1-3

1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Commentary

This is actually a continuation of chapter 1. It deals with the seventh day of the creation week. The word rest is shabath which is same word use in Exodus 20:8, making a clear connection to the Sabbath day.

Day seven is the day God ended his work of creating the universe and all it contains. The clear intent is to indicate that God created the entire universe in one ordinarily week.
