Quantum Physics and Free Will
The above link deals with the question of free will which is part of the the mind brain problem, that is are the mind and brain one and the same (monism) or are they different entries. (dualism) The paper mentioned in this video is called Synaptic Quantum Tunnelling in Brain Activity and it shows that synaptic activity requires quantum tunneling on demand to work. This quantum tunneling has only a one in ten million chance of occurring naturally. The result is that the human mind has to be controlling this quantum tunneling, meaning that it has to be in some manner independent of the brain. This eliminates a big argument against dualism, which is the lack of a control mechanism for the sole over the brain and quantum tunneling on demand provides this control mechanism.
